Darth Vader hat Luke Skywalker bis zum Planeten Vrogas Vas verfolgt. Nachdem Vader einige Rebellengeschwader besiegt hat, wird er von Luke zu einer Bruchladung gezwungen, bei der auch Luke selbst abstürzt. Als Leia davon erfährt, will sie diese einmalige Gelegenheit nutzen und schickt sämtliche Rebellenstreitkräfte dorthin, um den Dunklen Lord zu vernichten.
